For several (30) years I have experienced pain in my rectum, seems to be inside, not at the anus. When the pain first happened, I was told by a campus doc I'd had a vasovagal
. The pain was pretty rare for the next several years, but occuring more frequently now. I've been checked for hemmorhoids, and had a colonoscopy a couple years ago. I'm 62, male. The pain often comes while asleep, and wakes me up. Recently I had an episode while outside walking, the pain came on quickly, and I very nearly passed out. I had to lay down on the ground, and had trouble finding my pulse
.....I think my BP dropped quite a bit. It took several minutes before I was able to get up. The pain is somewhere between sharp and dull, but can be very intense.
they would go away, but they haven't.I can sometimes go for months without it happening, but last night it woke me from a dead sleep and i had to crawl back to bed to keep from passing out.I have noticed if I have to take one of my muscle relaxers I keep around for my bad neck
, that it happens about 2 to 4 days after I have taken one. I too can't even find a pulse when this happens, and the pain is worse than labor pains, but quite similar in nature.
