The pharmasists told me they were vitamins.
What does these vitamins have to do with my condition. Should I go to another doctor??
digestion and reduce bloating and gases in the digestive tract. Here's a quick summary of what I could find on the net.
restora capsules - these appear to be some sort of probiotic supplement. From their websute - "Restora™ is a one-a-day professional probiotic designed to support a more desirable balance of healthy bacteria in the gastrointestinal tract, especially after an antibiotic treatment. It also supports a healthy digestive, immune and cardiovascular system.
For exceptional results, Restora™ contains Lactobacillus Casei KE-99, a unique probiotic strain that tested superior when compared to 80 other probiotic strains. Lactobacillus Casei KE-99 was specifically chosen because of its impressive resistance to gastric acids, bile and pancreatic juice. In addition, Restora™ combines multiple state of-the-art technologies in order to protect, strengthen and enhance the probiotic: It combines L. Casei KE-99 with Omega 3 using liquid-filled capsule technology. All these factors help Restora™ to excel from its competitors' most common problem: moisture protection."
Bicarsim Forte - Generic Name: Charcoal
Bicarsim Forte is used for: Relieving pressure, bloating, and gas in the digestive tract. It may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor.
Bicarsim Forte is an antiflatulent and adsorbent combination. It works by breaking up gas bubbles, which makes the gas easier to eliminate."
It is my understanding that probiotics should not be taken if there is reflux from the duodenum into the biliary tree, which seems to be happening in your case. Probiotics are typically a great thing to take and use, but in this case it may not be the best thing to do. Please double-check with another doctor about their use in this case.
Rotation of the digestive tract is something that happens during embryology in the normal course of development. In some, partial non-rotation occurs and no one knows exactly why it happens. Depending on the area of non-rotation, it may or may not cause problems later in life, but it typically isn't found until a problem occurs and most people never know they 'have' it.
It's hard to know whether or not the non-rotation might be part of your discomfort or not.
A proportion of those who have had the gallbladder removed continue to have problems after the surgery. In some cases it can be due to the fact that the processing of fats is changed by the surgery. You may want to consider trying a low fat diet for a number of months to see if that will help. If it doesn't and the discomfort continues, you may want to ask your doc to perform some tests - liver and pancreatic enzyme levels, and an MRCP - to see if any stones or sludge escaped into the common bile duct and could be continuing to cause difficulty.
Thank you very much for your information Calgal & Kaneda 2112, concerning my case. I appreciate it very much. About the meds, the Dr said to take them for a month, that it should help me feel better. I have doubts cause of the priobotics, Concerning the GI series, he didn't mention anything about the non-rotation then I asked him what it meant and he said part of my duodenal was also taken out cause of my gallbladder stones. Hes a spanish doctor, and it seemed to me that he quite didn't understand that term either. So I looked it up in internet, and everywhere I looked it said what you mentioned Kaneda about the rotation. I appreciate it very much for your help. Its been very useful.
