right sided pain

Hello,

I have been having right upper quadrant pain for about the last month. I have had my gallbladder out already. All blood tests and ultrasound were normal. I have a hiatus hernia, my grandmother died of stomach cancer years ago. Nothing helps the pain. I'm on Cimetadine 2 times a day but it doesn't help. I don't have acid reflux just this piercing pain. Occassionally it will radiate to my epigastric area. The doctor thinks I may have esophegeal spasm. The pain is there 24/7.

Thanks

If all the doc can offer is a 'maybe', then I would pick a new doctor and go to him/her.  Sometimes you got to be agressive with this stuff because the dr's aren't(not speaking of all dr's)
I too have a right upper quadrant pain and lower quadrant also.  I have a thickening in the bowel region though and have been on antibiotics now for several days, 2-3 weeks to be semi-exact, and some of the big time pain is gone, however I still have the pain in my side and fever off and on so soon I am going back to the dr.
Well wishes that all will turn out to your liking and you will have resolution!
Chaddy
