orthopedic exam some x rays were taken. The doctor came back in the room quite disturbed. On her x ray he found calcification in the right upper quadrant. My daughter does see a GI regularly as she suffers several problems. She has been diagnosed with gastric
and begging for food but once you put it in front of her she refuses to eat. We have tried literally everything. This has been going on for several weeks, and recently she is not drinking either. She had an appointment with her pediatrician after the findings in her x ray. The pediatrician really wasn't concerned, but then also made fun of the fact that she won't eat-claiming she sure is gaining alot for someone who doesn't eat. She has gained 1 lb in six months. The pediatrician did request an ultrasound, but they can't get her in until the end of the month. I am very worried, especially after how panicked the Orthopedic doctor was. We are going out of town next week for another doctors appointment and we will be gone for ten days. My concern is that I do not know how urgent this situation is and I do not feel comfortable going away without knowing. The orthopedic doctor said it was urgent, he felt it was so urgent that he himself called her pediatrician and scheduled an appointment for us before we even had time to get home from the appointment with him.
