ruptured appendix

daughters appendix ruptured in june of 07 and immediatly lost about 14 lbs and since the severe infection my 10 yr olds life has changed she is no longer able to eat and digest food and has continued to have failure to thrive she had a gt tube placed for supplemental feeds and the had a GJ-tube placed for intestinal feeds still no weight gain just weight loss and has now been on TPN for a year she is still in the same medical situation could there be damage oif her digestive tract and malabsorption from the peritonitis and exudate??????
