Don't tell a 15 year old to take prilosec OTC when she/he hasn't even gone to a doctor to see what the pain is. It may have absolutely NOTHING to do with acid reflux. The CORRECT answer is go see a doctor. period. No "guessing" about what it might be and offering treatment solutions without knowing what it is.

It sounds like you have acid reflux in your esophagus.  You need to see a GP and get started on Nexium to heal your esophagus.  Proslec OTC may even help for now.
