severe stomach/chest/back pain with vomiting

My husband has been having pains in his stomach/chest and back for a while now.  The past week or so it has gotten severe.  His pain starts at all different times of the day and night, not just after he eats.  He can not keep any food down.  He has tried Aciphex,nexium, and Zantac nothing has helped.  I took him to the emergency room last Thursday.  They check his blood and urine, done an ultra sound, and a CT.  All the test were fine except the ultra sound.  They said there was so much bile in his system that they could not see his organs.  I have made him an appointment for this week to see about having other test run.
