Chronic motor tic disorder can be considered, with an upper endoscopy or ultrasound. Things like GERD, an ulcer, inflammation of the upper digestive tract, liver or gallbladder disease, can be ruled out with these tests.
If the stool continues to be abnormal, a
colonoscopy can be performed, as well as stool tests to rule out malabsorption.
If the tests are non-revealing, irritable bowel syndrome can
leadLead poisoning to abnormal stools, and it can be treated with antispasmodic agents or antibiotics like
Rifaximin.
