slight anal bleeding and burning and itching

Hi I am new to this forum. I hope someone can answer my questions. I am very scared. For the past 7 months I have had slight bright bleeding after a bowel movement on the tissue and one time had a streak of blood on the stool itself. Also have had extreme burning inside anus with itching. Sometimes it feels like pressure inside the anus. The gastro dr feels it is an anal fissure. I have been using perscription hydrocortizone cream and it helps. I am also having a colonoscopy in a week. My questions are could this be anal cancer. I am only 41 years old. Also I am worried about the prep for the test. I had one before and I know from experience you spend the whole day on the john. I am worried that if it is a fissure I will cause more damage. Have any of you had to do the prep with all the burning. Thank you for listening.
