slight pain in liver area

it seems ive been having sharp pains in my liver the past 2 weaks . it might not be the liver but its under, and oddly enough, above my ribs on my right abdomen. never had surgery there. had receieved typhoid about 4  weeks ago, that cleared up, and a few days later this happens. sounds like hepatitis because of the light case of typhoid. didnt have fever though. it doesnt hurt more when i press on it and theres no pressure, yet.
anyone know if this is something to worry about? i dont have health insurance, and also i dont  drink alcohol.

What you don't want to do is diagnose yourself.  I think it's more likely a gallbladder problem than liver, but a doctor should determine that for you with lab work and a physical exam.  Either way, you don't want to let it go so make an appointment.

If the pain gets worse after you eat a fatty meal, that's another indication of trouble with the gallbladder.  If you've had hepatitis for 4 weeks, you'd likely be showing signs of jaundice by now - yellow skin and whites of your eyes.  Simethicone is great for breaking up big gas bubbles if that is indeed your trouble.

You might try taking simethicone as the bottle directs and see if it helps, in case it is gas pockets getting caught (I had this problem upper right abdomen as a teen).  The gall bladder is also on the right side.
