small intestine obstruction

what are the symptoms of small bowel obstruction or small intestine cancer? i am suffering pain on my right side, only one thin bowel movement since sunday when i prepped for colonoscopy.Dr. couldn't finish test because my bowel didn't empty.so i had small bowel follow thru.i don't know what i should do because i dont go see the dr. til friday but i am so miserable.bloated ,cant breathe,hips hurt ,butt hurts.can anyone relate? thnaks for your time!

Hi:  Your symptoms can be alot of things, I have alot of your symptoms. Who told you you had sm bowel obstruction?  Or what makes you think that?  I also have pain, bloat, had my colonoscopy cancelled cause I wasn't empty.  

Kim isn't there a tiny camera that you can swallow that allows drs. to Now see your sm. intestines, its fairly new??

Unfortunately there are so many different problems that can go wrong with our digestive system and also so many test.

i am unsure.noone has said i have an obstruction,i was just reading up on different problems i am actually getting ready to go to dr.for some test results.

Hi Kimberly, I am also a "kimberly".  Your symptoms sound exactly like mine.  I can hardly take a deep breath without constant pressure under my ribcage, Constant fatigue.  Read down the posts and look for Hotairgirl.  That's me and more about me.  I have thyroid issues, a recently found vitamin D deficiency, and edema in my legs.  I am scheduled for a endoscopy and a colonoscopy on Thursday.  I have taken four heaping tablespoons of that prescription miralax in 48 hours and nothing.  Just pressure.  Lots of it.  I am sorry for your discomfort and how you must be feeling.  I understand.  I feel so tired that I want to cry.  I sometimes do.  I have a family of five, so there is no rest for the weary.  I am so scared that something is seriously wrong.  I just try to work through my issues.  My whole day is consumed with how I feel around the middle and my fatigue.  It is progressively getting worse within the last month or so. The distention is making me look 6-7 months pregnant.  Otherwise, I look healthy.  I hate feeling bad.
