Our granddaughter has eosinophilic gastritis disorder and just had biopsies of her stomach lining . She has difficulty with stomach pain and the Dr.  has her on many med. such as previcid , an anahystimine, etc.. The Dr. called her parents today informing them that her WBC has gone up dramatically and needs to be seen and family talked to about putting her on steriods for this condition.  Our granddaughter is 14 years old.  I just read where steroids made the pain worse when placed on them.

This discussion is related to biopsies for eosinophilic gastritis.

Steroids are a fairly 'common' form of treatment for EE. I hope her parents are actively trying to find out what foods or other things she is reacting to. You might want to check this link: www.apfed.org/ee.htm
