what causes your stools to turn black?

Too much iron can cause black stool,and bipto bismo if you been using it.On other hand black stool could be signal something else is wrong especially if your having pain.

I always get black stools when I take antibiotics.

If you have other symptoms such as acid stomach or any stomach/abdominal pain. I would ask for a fecal test at the doctors or buy one at the drug store. Don't mean to scare you but it can aslo be blood.
