stomach cancer

dear gastroenterologist
1)is there a tumor marker in the stomach cancer for diagnosis of tumor in the early stages?
2)can the chemotherapy in advanced stomach cancer cause the enlargment of tumor and worsening of obstructive symptoms?
3)can the stomach cancer(poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma)cause the diarrhea?
yours faithfully

Hi this is my first time seeing this website.  My husband suffers from frequent pain in his upper abdomen, diarrehea, vomitting attacks, indegestion fatigue, and weight loss.  He has had all kinds of tests done and the doctors can not find out what is wrong.  Everything I have read is pointing towards stomach cancer.  When I asked the doctor he said it wasn't evident in the lining of the stomach during the endoscopy but did not biopsey the lining.  He said it was red but a lot of people have red linings.  How were you diagnosed?
