stomach discomfort and bloating

I've had constant bloating and discomfort in stomach just below breast bone for nearly 3months now. Bowel movents are normal and do not relieve symptoms. The only time i'm comfortable is when I lie flat on my back and my stomach does go flat when I do this. I feel constantly full and unable to eat which has resulted in me losing 9pounds. I am not in pain but feel that there is constant pressure on my upper abdomen and feel what I can only describe as frequent adrenaline rushes in that area ( like butterflys!) It is particularly bad when I sit which makes work difficult and exercising is difficult because I feel unable to bend forward.  My lower back aches and I have to burp frequently ( no gas release elswewhere!) Doctors just say that it's irritable bowel blood tests and ct scan show nothing.  I'm getting really down with this and I can't afford to lose anymore weight ( 5'5 81/2 stone) Prior to this I was very fit and ate healthy balanced diet I've never ever suffered from bloatedness b4.  Colonic gave no relief neither did ozmprazole, anti spasmodics and peppermint oil.  Any ideas?

Have you had a gastric emptying exam done?

Doc still hasn't referred me to specialist but I've got an app on Weds and will insist that I'm reffered. Prob be months tho before I get app! Mistake on above no ct scan was an ultrasound
