stomach pain

My son had the stomach flu at the end of Sept. and has had stomach pain ever since. We took him to the dr. and they did blood work and sent us to get an ultrasound. Everything came back fine-perfect actually but he is still in pain, so much that he cries from it. The pain is located around his belly button, more so above...... No fever, vomiting, diarrhea, no problems pooping or with blood where it shouldn't be.....He doesn't eat much anymore because he says it makes it hurt worse. Has been on Previcid and dicyclomine, but they aren't working!

Your son needs to see a pediatric gastroenterologist and have an endoscopy and colonoscopy. A specialist like this will be better able to diagnose his symptoms. Pain is a symptom so something is wrong. Sometimes due to his age, they may just blow it off as nothing, as young people are usually healthy. Don't allow them to do this to your son, he should not be suffering like this. Don't stop until you have answers, and your son is well.
