like there's a boa constrictor in my lower asophagus (not that I've ever really had on in there) squeezing my innards. Even a sip of water often feels like a lump
getting stuck down there somewhere and I get wheezy and puffy for a little while. Solid food is usually ok and bready, fried or starchy things agree with me best. It wakes me in the night and drives me crazy. Waxes and wains and is worst when I sit or lay down, but also happens if i twist around or bend over.
Any fellow sufferers listening? Please, any suggestions. I take Zantac and slippry elm powder which helps a bit.
Yes I've had a number of examinations and they concluded that I have a hiatus hernia, gerd, duodenitis, scar tissue from ulcers and a 'nervous stomach' whatever that means. I also have episdes of SVT and irregular heart rhythm which is triggered by whatever is going wrong inside. The only thing that does settle it down for a few hours is valium. There are no answers, just live with it is all the doctors can suggest. It has been suggested that i may have MS but they aren't sure and there's no real treatment anyway so there's no ppoint pursuing that too far. I guess that's understandable because i'm now getting old but i wasn't old when this all started. Anyway, it waxes and wains and I'm still here and don't think of myself as being old so that's not so bad.
First off, "there's no real treatment for MS" as absolutely false. I would recommend you talk to the people on the MS forum to learn more about this. What tests have you had done?
