You are describing dyspepsia. Dyspepsia is defined as pain or discomfort centered in the upper abdomen. Discomfort is a negative feeling that the patient does not interpret as pain, which can be characterized by or associated with fullness, early satiety, bloating, or nausea. Dyspepsia can be intermittent or continuous, and may or may not be related to meals.

Weight-loss surgeries cancer, biliary disease, or pancreatitis. If the aciphex has not worked, I suggest further evaluation. This includes upper endoscopy to evaluate for any peptic ulcer or gastritis. You should also be tested for H Pylori, as there is a strong association between this bacteria and ulcers. If the H Pylori test is positive, you can be treated with antibiotics.
If the endoscopy is negative, I would next proceed with either an ultrasound or CT scan.
