stones after surgery

by Judy40, May 30, 2001 12:00AM
Has anyone heard of stones being dropped during surgery?  I had gallstones, and had my gallbladder removed.  I developed a fever and back pain a week later, they ran a CT and found 4 stones "free floating"  near my liver.  Now the doctors seem to differ on what to do now.  I am wondering if anyone has heard of this and what has been done to help?

My husband had his gallbladder removed one month ago.  Today at a follow-up they said a stone had formed in a 4 week period as large as the end of your finger.  I feel they missed it in the original surgery and that it could not grow this fast????
