My girlfriend has had this for a long time. She vomits everything she eats and the smell food makes her nauseas and makes her vomit. She complains her food doesnt digest, it stays up. She vomits about 5 minutes after eating and complains about heartburn up in the chest area. She was hospitalised for 3 days, on the drip and medication. She did chest scan and came negative. Blood test was deficient in potassium, glucose, iron and vitamin D. She did breath test for H Pylori and that showed nothing. Lastly, she did gastroscopy and that showed inflammation of the oesophagus. But they said it wasnt the inflammation causing the vomiting and that she just suffers from reflux. She was released from hospital and sent home with the prescribed medication for reflux etc. But she still vomiting!!! She is now severly underweight for her age of 19. She isnt pregnant. She also burps alot. Bowel movements are fine. Please help
Could be really bad case of GERD (acid reflux). How long has she been taking the medication? What types of food is she trying to eat? Can she eat stuff like toast or crackers, maybe some chicken broth (very bland food)? I'm no dr but if the meds arent working after a couple days I'd talk to a gastroenterologist, because she may need stronger meds, or have to take the medication more often
