suffering daily

Hi I was diagnosed with a hiatal hernia. I've also DAILY had the globus sensation all the way down my throat and into my ab anyone else and can someone please tell me why they say the globus sensation is strictly pscychological....yet they say one of the symptoms of hiatal hernia IS the globus thing?????I'm getting ready to replace my gastro guy I need help and its not coming from him .Its almost like if they cant figure you out,...then youre dismissed or your nuts or something. I'm on 40 mg protonix but doesny seem to help im not even sure I have that GERD.... Any suggestions would truly truly be appreciated...Lisa
