I suffer from diverticulitis, I am now 68, I have suffered this debilitating decease for 30 years , 2 years ago I was rushed to hospital with a temp 40.4 plus because my large bowel leaked, it was touch and go with this infection, but with lots of antibiotics I survived.
12 months later I had the lower part of my bowel removed but I still have the symptoms as before the operation.
There is 2 question I would like to ask those suffering or have suffered , first, does anyone have or had these symptoms , tiredness, lose of interest, lose of patience, lose of concentration ,swelling
into my large bowel it is tender 24 hours a day ? I must say that when I feel good ( which is not often) I forget how bad I felt and when I feel bad, I forget how good I felt.
I am sure there are many more problems that people suffer, everyone is different.
I don't want to sound like a winger, but this is how I feel and I am sure these symptoms are caused by diverticulitis.
I have tried everything,I ride a bike, walking, drinking lots of water but I can only get a little relief if I keep away from grain products .
I have had enough, I have made an appointment with my doctor I just want all my bowel removed.
My second question is can anyone suggest the best method, like connecting to a bag or?
I just want to live a normal life!
