I was just trying to post a response to some of those comments. I have had eggy burps and nausea and vomiting for as long as I can remember. When I was a child, if we went to a familyBirth control and family planning Choosing a primary care provider Ewing’s sarcoma Family troubles - resources reunion and had lots of food, I was sure to burp those burps all the way home(for a couple of hours or more)...anyway, I never really saw an answer as to what caused them, but now, I am 45 and recently presented to doctor with nausea(no vomiting), tired, headache, severe refluxGastroesophageal reflux disease Gastroesophageal reflux in infants Hiatal hernia repair Reflux nephropathy Vesicoureteral reflux, et cetera, had a CT, there was a cyst on my liver, some calicifications in spleenEnlarged spleen Liver and spleen cysts - ct scan Liver scan Spleen metastasis - ct scan Spleen removal Spleen removal - series Splenomegaly, and I was anemic with a ferritinfastingFasting glucose tolerance test Glucose test - blood level of 4....My hemoglobinHba1c Hemoglobin Hemoglobin derivatives Hemoglobin electrophoresis Rbc indices Sickle cell anemia was around 11, which is not really low, in my opinion. But it lead me to start writing down when all of this started, and it started when I was two. I had ulcers in my mouth and esophagus and had to have cut-downs because of dehydration and I weighed only 17 pounds...fast forward, I relied on rolaids and maalox for my entire childhood, at 12, menses, stayed anemic even though I took Iron supplements, continued to live on maalox and mylanta through my twenties, went through fertility treatments due to infertility, pregnant, the whole pregnancy with reflux and projectile vomiting when I ate over 5 bites of food, severe anemia, Hemoglobin at 4...yes...4...took me five years to get to any kind of reasonable level and now it is 11.....seven years later, and then this latest problem. The only thing I can come up with is Celiacs....I don't eat bread. It causes severe heartburn, especially sourdough...Anyway, I was wondering if anyone else has a diagnosis of celiacs. I don't get to see the liver doctor for another month... Anyway, just curious. Thanks...KF
