I've never heard the term "sump drain".

Are you talking about things like ileostomy, or colostomy, etc.?

A sump drain is a drain put in the body for withdrawal of fluids and discharges from a wound, sore or cavity. You can find a lot of information if you go to google.com and type in Medical Sump Drain. Good Luck!
