surgical clips

I had a hystrecomy and clips were left inside accidently, could they cause problems later with blood posion ?

Welcome to the gastroenterology community! Do you know that the clips were left in accidentely and not on purpose? Because in many surgeries it is relatively common to leave clips in and they rarely cause problems.
