o.k.....I have never posted a question on a forum like this before so here it goes......
My son has had stomach pains on/off for a couple of years now. We thought it was his medicine (ADD meds) that he takes everyday so we didn't worry about it. Well, the pains have gotten more frequent and worse. They did a CT Scan on him this past Friday and found that he has swollenSwollen glands lymph nodesLymph node biopsy Swollen glands Swollen lymph nodes in the groin Swollen lymph nodes under arm in his stomach. They tell me this on Friday afternoon at 5 p.m. and I had all weekend to worry. His pediatrician is referring him to a specialist (Gastroenterolgist) and our appt is this coming Thursday. They said they would probably want to do an upper GI or scope. His stomach hurts pretty bad and it very tender to touch. His pediatrican has left to go overseas and the person handling this has been a nurse practitioner (which I am not sure about). She told us that they would probably be checking for Gastro....something(I can't remember) and IBS (which I have told her he has No problem in that area) and other things. Could it be ulcers? My fearFears and phobias is cancer or something like that. Any suggestions?
