Dear Juan,
There are many medical regimens that are
effectiveEffective strength cough syrup for Helicobacter pylori infection. One medical regimen includes
metronidazole (Flagyl) 250 mg four times daily; tetracycline 500 mg four times daily; Pepto-Bismol tablets one tablet four times
daily for 14 days. This combination can be prescribed by your physician (if clinically indicated) as Helidac. In order to enhance
bacterial eradication a proton pump inhibitor (Prilosec [dose 20 mg twice daily] or Prevacid) or a histamine receptor antagonist
(such as ranitidine-Zantac) is usually added to these medicines. The acid suppressing medication is usually prescribed for one
month. This medical regimen if taken as directed is almost 90 percent effective. I hope you find this information helpful.
