ulcer??

Why does my stomach hurt ALL THE TIME it seems to be everywhere at times but its mainly in my actual stomach area, the other day though i was also hurting right under my left rid it lasted for 3 days. But my stomach still hurts ULCER MAYBE????

Most docs - if gastritis is suspected - typically place the patient on a course of acid-suppression meds for a period of weeks-to-months and see if that helps. If problems continue then testing would begin. Testing would typically include being checked for the presence of H. pylori and an upper endoscopy that would look at the esophagus, stomach and beginning of the small intestine to get a good look at the surface of those sections of the GI tract and take biopsies if necessary.

It's an inflammation or irritation of the lining of the stomach.

Gastritis is a more likely scenario. It might not be a bad idea to check with your doc and possibly ask for some testing. You may want to consider asking him to check for the presence of H. pylori, the bacteria that is implicated in causing stomach issues and gastritis.
