undiagnosed

Unable to keep down solid foods for Two months and counting. No findings as yet. Before stomach problems , patient was anemic and given two treatments of i.v. iron. Now iron levels are high. Could high iron levels cause this much stomach distress.

As I know, iron in pills can be bad for stomach, not sure about i.v. iron. But what was the cause of lowe iron? In women this may be menorrhagia, in older patients it can be gastrointesinal bleeding from polyps/cancer, or from Crohn's/UC in anyone.

In celiac disease iron is not absorbed properly in duodenum.

GERD is also possible.
