upper right side pain

by painter28, Oct 19, 2008 09:45PM
I have had upper right side pain for about 7 years, it comes and goes for no reason. When I have a flair up it can last up to 8 weeks, then it is gone for months.  I've had all the testing and nothing shows up.  One doctor thinks it might be scar tissue as the pain is at the sight of thegullbladder I had removed about25yrs. ago.  A surgeon I followed up with doesn't think scar tissue is the problem but told me we could have a look around .  I didn't that was a good enough reason for surgery. Any advice you can give me would be appreciated.  This condition reallly  changes the quality of life. I cannot swim which I do every day, and just doing anything is painful. Thank you for your help.
