very bad stomach pain

I had stomach surgery in 2006 because my small and large intestine was hard in some areas so those areas had to be cut out and stapled back together.  After the surgery I have very bad stomach pain and I can not have a regular bowel movement on my own. The pain is very sharp and sometimes it comes and goes like labor pain also on the right side of my lower ab. there is a sharp pain even to the touch.  My ovaries was taken out a few years ago but every time I have have a ct scan they see something that looks like ovaries.  I was also told two years that there is a cyst in my pelvis but my gyn won't touch it because of my stomach problems. I have done every stomach test you can name but no one seem to know whats wrong.  When I go my gastro droctor, he give me a new diet and give me pain meds.  I am sick of taking pain meds, and still not know what my problem is.  When i have these flare up I throw up and I am so week.  The last flare up I almost passed out.  I fell on the floor, I was so week that I could not get my self up.  If any one can somewhat help please do so.

I really feel for you.  This is no way to go through life.  You mention the Dr gave you pain meds and a new diet.  Are you following the new diet?  I have a twisted colon.  Not a dangerous thing, however before I learned of this, I was doubled over in pain many times for the last 50 years  Sometimes it was bad cramping followed by diarrhea.  Other times the cramping turned to very severe and sharp pains in one side of the lower ab.  These pains and cramps could last for hours until I could feel myself start to feel a cold sweat and I would begin to pass out.  Yes, this can all be part of the IBS.  The only way I could keep from passing out is to vomit.  Then within the hour I would begin to move my bowels until it became severe diarhea.  Finally when that was through, the spastic cramping would subside and I could sleep.  This is very much relieved for me since the Dr had me include a fiber supplement in my diet.  I guess things were getting backed up all those years.  Does your diet include high fiber?  In addition to the supplements, I eat a small bowl of bran every morning or sometimes in the evening before bed.  I try not to eat too much white bread, cakes, cookies etc.  I am wondering if your pain is coming from a difficult area in your colon where the stool is trying to pass.
