very sore throat

I have an ongoing ultrasore throat for about 3 months.  Doctors have rulled out GER(or to be more spacific they did not see any evadence of GERD).  MY throat comes on in the morning . My food feel really tender when swallowing,
  It is onlu on my right side.  The pain is a 12 on a 1 to 10!!...after the food goes down, Intence pain for over 5 hours or so.  I am nor aware of
any refkux,,,,but could my tummy  valve be leeking gasses up the right side of my throat?, causing this constsnt burning and stinging??
I am going to a pain clinic on thursday. Any imput would be good

Have you had a doctor actually look down your throat? Like an Endoscopy [sp?] This would be the best way for them to actually see if there is damage to your throat and what it is from. The type of severe pain your talking about over a long time isnt good. I would go to your doctor and ask them to refer you to either a throat specialist or a gastro dr, for further testing. You may need to see a specific dr to determine what the problem is. But my first stop would be getting refered to an " ear nose and throat " Doctor, or gastro dr they will have a look and be able to look and tell you what the problem is and what is causing it by looking down your throat. Hope this helps a little if it all.
