I'm a 32 year old femaleCondoms Female condoms Female sexual dysfunction and have been to emerg. 3 times with violent stomach pains & diarrhea so bad by the time the attack is over there's nothing left inside me to expel via bowl movement. The 1st time I remember it happening was definitely food poisoningPoisoning first aid because my husband had it to. there was vomiting that time where there usually is no vomiting and we both had it. (about 10 years ago) the 2nd time might have been food poisoningPoisoning first aid as well, but probably not because it was a banquet dinner and everyone at the banquet ate the exact same thing and no one else got sick. (about 5 yrs ago)the 3rd time was at home, no unusual food eaten but a trip to the emerg was in order. (about 2 years ago) I haven't been to emerg in a while BUT recently I have bouts of horrible stomach pain that comes in waves. I curl up in a ball, down a bunch of Malox or Tums or PeptoPepto children's Pepto-bismol Pepto-bismol maximum strength Bismal and rock myself until it goes away. The bloating is incredible. I look pregnant. I thought it might be lactoseGalactose-1-phosphate uridyltransferase Lactose intolerance Lactose tolerance testsintoleranceCeliac disease - sprue Gestational diabetes Lactose intolerance since Ive noted each time it happens what I ate shortly before the attack and in all cases there was dairy BUT I've had tons of other times where I've had dairy (the same foods as noted before intermittent attacks and everything is fine.) I dred eating the wrong thing when Im out somewhere that I either can't get to a bathroom immediately or can't have enough privacy when I go. Im a photographer and was out shooting a wedding one day when I got an attack. Not Good! I was in absolute agony and had to rush to the bathroom in violent pain and then TRY to put on a happy face when I returned to my anxiously waiting wedding party.
I am SUPER paranoid of everything left out of the fridge for even a couple hours and throw stuff away if it just looks off no matter how far before the "best before date" it may be. My husband and I have even argued over my paranoia. I blasted him one day and asked him sarcastically how many times HE has been to emerg with violent pain & diarrhea.I ended the reoccurring argument by telling him I WILL DO what I need to to avoid things and that HE is welcome to eat the thing I want to throw away. My WORST fear is having one of my frequent violent stomach attacks get so bad I end up in emergency again. All they ever do is ask me a bunch of questions and give me a shot of demoral for the pain & send me home.
My family history of stomach & or intestinal problems in my family is colon cancer & polyps. all my dads people have had polyps (5 siblings) and 4 of them were cancerous. My grandmother (dads mom) died at 46 with a abdomen full of cancer. I dont think they ever pin pointed her cancers starting point but we all feel it was in the colon given the history of all my current aunts & uncles on my dads side. My mother has IBS bad. She HAS to locate a washroom in a restaurant before even ordering. She often cant get through even half her meal before needing the bathroom. Her movements are always soft & watery and she too rocks on the toilet in pain when having a movement. I tell her all the time, that's not normal mom! but she doesn't do anything about it. She blames her gall bladder operation shortly after I was born and says "its just the way it is".
I am going to my doctor to arrange a colonoscopy asap. Ive mentioned it to her before but she just says "oh your too young for that kind of testing yet, you don't need it". I say I DO. if she wont refer me I will find a dr. that will. In fact my dads doctor has entered our whole family on my dads side to some cancer research center that is testing DNA and its relation to colon cancer. Since every single one of my dads people including his dead mother have had colon issues. they believe its genetic. my dad was told to inform his whole family to inform each of their doctors to submit all test results to this center. I haven't told my dr. this yet, perhaps if i do she'll agree to book me a colonoscopy.
Im tried of being paranoid about everything I eat. wondering how clean the kitchen is in any given restaurant I eat in and having these bouts of violent pain. I need to find answers now. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
hi, yes absolutely you need to have a colonoscopy. also you need to be tested for parasite infestation, some doctors believe that they might play a role in colon cancer, as for your diet concerns, your food combinations might be a factor in the violent attacks, i try to tell as many people as possible about sherry brescia,(look her up) shes cured many many people with digestive disorders, and she does it free of charge, cheers.
