what do you think?

my whole life i have had a hard time going to the bathroom. my transition time between meals is long. i think it should only be like  a  day to process a meal. iwhen i do "go" it sometimes hurts and sometimes i bleed, the bleeding usually happens when my BM's are large and really hard, the mostly always are. i dont know if it is hemroids it's been happening so long that i just havent paid any attention to it. i guess my question is...since i have been like this for years, in that time could have i developed a problem or have i always had a problem that has gone un-noticed?

Hi.  I was like this until I was about 20 years old.  I never really realized it was abnormal either, until I ended up with bleeding hemmeroids.  At the instruction of my Dr. I started citrucel.  It helped make BM's more regular and eaiser.  The Dr. said that some people have slower transit times.  Start by checking with your family Dr. but don't worry yourself too much.  From talking to others I have found that this is a common problem.

Good luck!
