First I am a 41 yo male who had an elevated enzime SGPT of 78, and had an ultrasound that was characterized as Mild sirrhosis...i have experienced a bloated feeling, some very mild itching, muscle aches, fatigue, and some pressure that feels like heartburn.  I have not seen a GI yet but am being scheduled to.  I am taking aciphed and malox but have little appitite.  What does this all mean? Will the symptoms subcide?  I am awaiting the results of my hep profile. I am very concerned can anyone help?

it sounds like you have the begining of  the symptoms of cirrohsis. i am not a dr, sounds like you have started with what is called ascites.(that is the bloatness.) the itches is another stage that cirrohsis pts go through. have  they told you why you have cirrohsis? have they checked your gallbladder?

Go to Google.com and type, "Cirrhosis of the Liver". You will learn all you need to. I'm sure your doctor, the one who diagnosed you explained. Good luck.

I didn't think they could see cirrohsis on an ultrasound.  I thought they would have to do a biopsy to determine that.
