white speck in the poop

my father in law had a tiny white thing in his poop..and he had that when he started having back pain...i dont know if that has something to do with his poop..anyways he told me that its like a rubbery white tiny round thing in his poop...(he told me he was curious so he touched it...)...sounds yuckie....but please i wanted to help him...please help

It could be mucous or many other things. I would suggest getting stool cultures for ova parasites as well as other tests to check.
