will antibiotics make my prilosec stop working

it feels like every time i take amoxicillin that it makes my prilosec not work, and if it is not working then i cant sleep or anything..  In some worse cases it makes me throw up because of how bad it gets..  I have been taking 40mg everyday for the past 3 years and it really works good until i take an antibiotic..  If i miss a day it usually doesnt bother me because of how long i have been taking it but it i dont take it its really bad..  I have gone thru at least 2 gallons of milk a night when i have to take antibiotics, so if you could help me out i would be greatly appreciated..

Hi, it is not that the Prilosec isn't working.  It is working the way it always does.  the problem is that antibiotics kill all the beneficial digestive bacteria along with the bacteria that is making you sick.  You need to take a good pro-biotic about 2 hours after or before your antibiotic to replace the digestive bacteria so that your can digest food properly.
