windpipe pushed to the side

by ttcoffin, Nov 28, 2002 12:00AM
I don't know if this has anything to do with gastro, but my son fell while jumping on our trampoline 5 weeks ago, and fell and landed on his chest, on the pole that goes around the trampoline. Well, the doc had thought it was just bruised and I have waited 5 weeks now. He is still in extreme pain, when he swallows, takes a deep breath, moves a certain way or just all the time. I took him back, he did an xray and it showed his windpipe is pushed to the side! He has ordered a CT scan, but it might take a couple of weeks. Has anyone ever heard of this? I am wondering if it can get to a dangerous point. Thanks in advance......Tanya
