3 Kidney's ?

I had a kidney scan in 2008 for diabetes research, and when I saw the scan it looks like I have 3 kidneys, but the doctors never said anything to me about this.

I'am I right ? do I have what looks like a 3rd kidney, and if so what problems can this cause.

i would go back to your dr and ask if this is the case, you then need to ask the dr questions to put your mind at rest.

In my opinion, you do not have three kidneys.  I can see two kidneys and your spleen.
As you look at the image on the left, the spleen is by one of your kidneys.

Was the image taken from the front or behind?  If it was taken from behind, that is your spleen next to your kidney.  If it was taken from the front, that is a part of your liver next to your kidney.
