26 Adult ADD

I am a 26 year old mother. My sister is a general manager for a great company.  She put a word in for me to get a manager's position at her store. My problem is the drug test. I will have adderall in my system. I have a prescription for it, so I am not worried about that aspect but I have never told my family that I was diagnosed years ago. If I take 15mg daily, how long will it take before it is out of my system completely?

I'm not sure how long it takes to leave your system - but - I wouldn't worry about your family finding out.  The employer has to abide to health privacy laws and they're not allowed to disclose your medications/medical conditions.  Usually - it's a 3rd party anyway - and the employer only sees a pass/fail.  Talk to the person administering the drug test and first ask about privacy.  I wouldn't worry.

I know my daughter has ADHD and she is on Vyvanse. Her doctor told me that all those meds for ADHD and ADD are mostly stimulates. They exit your body the same day. Its not like other meds where you have to take the meds for a week or two before they get into your system. But don't be ashamed of it. Many people need these meds to be able to focus, etc. Just DON'T stop taking your meds just because of your family. Just do the drug test and who knows nothing may come up of it and if it does ( which i dont think anything will) be honest with your family and you have a prescription. Please dont be ashamed of it.
