Alcohol and Colon Infections

If my colon is mildly infected, can i drink alcohol in small amounts? What are the effects if i do so?

It's not a good idea. Theoretically the alcohol will kill bacteria. In fact the alcohol will promote inflammation and spread of the infection. Acohol will also depress the immune response and inactivate some antibiotics.
