Alcohol while on antibiotics?

I am taking antibiotics (CILICAINE VK phenoxymethyl penicillin) because I have tonsillitis.
I started yesterday and I already feel 95% better. I have a New Years Eve party in 5 days
and I was wondering whether I could consume alcohol on the night?

No, you shouldn't drink ANY alcohol while taking prescription medication. In fact, kinda as a general rule I'd wait 3 days after you finish the antibiotic so your body has a chance to re-adjust. Mixing alcohol with medication can have dire consequences. It totally changes how your body will react and changes the chemistry in your body. Treat your friends to a sober new year ride lol plus you'll remember what they did and they won't lol could be fun

You should not touch a single drink. Period. Do not pass go. Do not collect two hundred dollars. Antibiotics to not kill bacterial infections, They prevent the bacteria from replicating. Alcohol significantly degrades action of antibiotics. The specific bacterial agent has not been identified. There is no percentage in playing Russian roulette. You may luck out and have no problem. But you may end up with a drug-resistant infection.
