Thanks so much for everyone's kind feedback. I got in to see a doctor immediately on Monday. He listened, but didn't really give me a lot of feedback or advice. I personally think I was having panic attacks and that I was getting stuck in panic cycles.
He ended up giving me three prescriptions, but no tests of any kind. 10mg of Lexapro for during the day, half a tablet in the morning of Bisoprolol (a blood pressure medication) and at a low dose of Clonazepam at bed time.
Its been 4-5 days on the medications and I'm back to feeling pretty much normal. I make sure to eat regularly, and especially have milk and protein. I've even been adding Blueberries and celery in daily, as apparently they are both good brain food.
Though I "pretty much" feel better, I'm usually kind of tired. I'm certain that is the medicine. I've been sleeping 10 hour nights - and sleeping very well! I'm not feeling very motivated, though, during the day.
I'd like to get off these medications sooner than later and get back to just being me. Of course, I wouldn't dare try it without the doctors support and guidance. I just don't like the little bit of drugged feeling I always have on the medicines.
I've also quit the shot of lidocaine at the physical therapist's office. No more. I told them I was scared of them.
Anything else I should be doing? Again, really appreciate everyone's feedback and help.
It does appear that the concoction of medication, the MDMA pill and having a consumption of alcohol was not a very good mix.
As Momof3Gramof2 suggests - do NOT take any drugs or drink alcohol when you are being given shots by your chiro, and don't use any medications that are not prescribed to you by your doctor.
Some medications do cause bad side effects if taken with other medications. So even if you take over the counter medicines, tell your doctor or ask the pharmacist if it is OK to take with whatever you are already taking. Alcohol should also be avoided when taking certain medications.
We all get floaters in our eyes and that is normal. If there are a lot or they appear as if you want to grab one, then you do need to get your blood checked out for any abnormality like anaemia.
Having a blood pressure reading after having a drink of hot coffee or after rushing around will always show an elevated reading. Before taking a blood pressure reading, make sure that you are well relaxed and haven't been rushing around, don't have a hot drink and don't speak whilst your reading is being taken. So if you experienced your eye problem, felt anxious, went to Walmart and then had your blood pressure reading done - it is no wonder that it had been elevated.
Your doctor would not put you on any blood pressure medication until you had a few readings that were persistently high.
Experiencing sensations of having it hard to concentrate can be from a number of reasons, one of which could be been that you were dehydrated - and of course ER did treat you for that. Alcohol can dehydrate the body.
It sounds like your body and head is experiencing a hangover from your mix of medications, drugs, alcohol, lack of water and probably lack of sleep.
Make an appointment to see your doctor to take a blood test to check your iron levels, hBA1C to check for sugar levels and to check your blood pressure. As people sometimes have what is called White Coat Syndrome (their blood pressure gets raised just at the thought of being at the doctor's surgery) the doctor may give you a blood pressure monitor to wear over a few days that will monitor your blood pressure and this will help the doctor to determine whether you need to be put on any medication or not.
You do not have to have any alcohol or take any drugs to have a good time at a party. The best party is one where you come out feeling really good and happy - not one where you are very ill.
Best wishes.
1. Stop drinking and never take any pills from friends/family: ONLY those prescribed by your physician.
2. Low blood sugar does cause the things you mention, but you also may be in need of an evaluation for diabetes. Your blood sugar could be fluctuating greatly.
3. Your blood pressure also needs to be evaluated by a physician. Don't rely on Er doctors to diagnose these things; see your personal physician, and if you don't have one, GET ONE. Your BP is not anything to ignore, and neither is one's blood sugar.
I hope you see a physician soon, and let us know what you learn.
PS - I don't see that it is anxiety; some people have spikes in Blood Pressure when they are at a high level of pain, but you don't mention pain.. take care of yourself and get a good physical.
sounds to me like the mixture of meds..side effects ...take nothing and hopefully it will go away ..good luck
