Baby Formula

Is soy formula safe to give baby boys? I have heard that there are hormones in it. Was wondering what to use for my son, he seems to be lactose intolerant, and I can't give breast milk because my milk never came in normally

If it were me, I would not use soy formula.I've read a lot about soy too and heard that it can effect the thyroid gland and it can increase estrogen levels. Talk to his Pediatrician about what kind of formula your baby can take.    Remar

There is lactose free formula, which is considered safer than soy for both boys and girls.  It is thought that the phytoestrogens in soy can cause feminization of boys and early puberty onset in girls.  It may be a little more expensive than soy, but sometimes it can be covered by your insurance if your pediatrician writes a prescription for it.
