Baby rubs one ear

My 11 month old girl rubs her right ear often but is not in pain could this be an ear infection or just testing ears

I Crixia2, I read your question and there is really no need for concern...Your daughter is simply teething her back molars, which by the way take forever to grow in.  If she shows no sign of pain then I sure that is what it is.  My youngest which is 4 now, did the same.. and it turned out to be that they hear crackling noises from where the tooth is growing out which causes a vibration in their middle ear which tickles and at the same time agrevates them.  But, if pain later occurs, a Dr. appointment may be possible.
