Banning Flouride

On the 28th of December, 2010, Speaker Peter Vallone of the New York City council announced his intention to introduce legislation banning the use of flouride in the New York City water supply. This will save 75 million dollars over ten years.

Flouride is a dangerous neurotoxin and an ingredient in certain varieties of military nerve agents.

"Once introduced," Vallone said,"This toxin cannot be eliminated by filtration".

Speaker Vallone stated that this"amounts to the involuntary medication of millions of adults with a known poison, based on fifty year old studies  of questionable value."

I hope  Vallone succeeds!
fluoride also can injure the nervous system and even
cause cancer. Alzheimer’s are possibly linked to drinking fluoridated water. Cancer, behavioral problems, thyroid suppression, male infertility and impotence are also some examples of
what may happen to the body when too much fluoride is present. fluoride and aluminum is toxic enough that scientists warn about its connection to Parkinson’s and Lou Gehrig’s diseases. at certain levels it will accumulate in your brain and can lead to a form of degeneration. One study showed that rats given fluoride while still in the womb became hyperactive, Dr. Phyllis Mullenix, a leading neurotoxicologist, developed a sophisticated method to study behavioral patterns using a computer. She would photograph
interactions of test rats given fluoride and feed the results into a computer program.
Much to her surprise, she discovered that the fluoride was causing significant behavioral problems, not only when rats were exposed in the mother’s womb, but also soon after birth and even as adults. Upon examining seven areas of the animals’ brains she found that the longer an animal drank fluoridated water, the higher the brain level of fluoride. She also found that a high accumulation of toxins over time reaches levels that always cause brain injury.

Thank you both for giving us this information. I had read about fluoride many years ago and quit using toothpaste with fluoride in it. Boy is it hard to find! We have our own well water, which I'm thankful for. I do hope everyone here at MH reads this. Thanks again.  Remar
