If you have clots you need meds to help dissolve them. clots can take a long time for the body
to absorb them.If you keep having clots they may also insert a filter. It's very important to get back to your doctor. Have you had a Cat scan and a Doppler ?

You require an evaluation by a hematologist. Sometimes it takes a while and many tests to figure out what is going on. He/she will determine whether or not this is a "one-time" situation or whether you have a systemic disorder that must be treated.

Be polite, but persistant in asking for an explanation.

There are many reasons for the problem, and the answer is not to simply request your physician "put you on meds".

Clots can be caused by various medical problems.I have two factors for making blood clots
the factors are Prothrombin  and Lupus Anticoagulant. I have had numerous clots at different
times I'm now on Coumadin  for life. has your doctor told you what is causing your clots
and why isn't the doctor putting you on meds
