Blood Platelets

I need to correct my last post. The high blood platelets showed up in my pre-op blood work; but the doctor didn't mention it to me until my last check up on October 22nd. So I know it is not from the surgery, but something else is causing the count to be high. I know they were normal when I was pregnant with my last daughter in the summer of 2000. They were at 243 then. Should I be concerned about anything? I don't get my results from my bone marrow until Tuesday, the 18th. Thank you
