Diazepam gets addictive and it will take four to six weeks to completely return to normality. It is a powerful and useful anti-anxiety drug that was given out like aspirin thirty-five years ago. You didn't even have to sign for it in the hospital phamarcy.  Nowadays, the drug is unfortunately, tightly controlled (because of it's addictive qualities), but there are no significant documented long-lasting side effects. I have taken it, prescribed by a physician,  on rare ocasions, but feel it interferes with my situational awareness while driving for at least 24 hours, as well as causing a degradation of mental acuity.

Hiya SCOTSMAN i take it your Scottish like myself?
Anyway back to your Question and Honestly You should start to feel better soon as you weren't taking them everyday and not for very long so give it a week and see how you feel and remember we are in control over our Moods, so try get out (easier said than done) but try tell your self 'I Feel alot better today' as if we think 'i feel awful'  it is put in our heads and mood that we do feel that way.  I wish you all the best and i am so glad you weren't on these benzos for any longer therefore you should be feeling alot Better soon especially if its been a week now :x)  Again Good Luck and all the best for your future.
