Can anyone tell me whats wrong?

I have had a sore swollen spot on my neck right near my thyroid cartlidge for about a month now. I also am beginning to get more swollen glands in my neck along with a strang grey color on the back of my throat. I do not have a sore throat and havent since i had my tonsils taken out about 6 months ago. I have had my thyroid checked about 4 months ago and my levels were all normal so i also crossed that out of the list of possible things. I am really trying to avoid going to the doctor if at all possible. If anyone could help me try and figure out what is going on it would be great!

Thanks,

Many people think that if your thyroid is low it will effect your weight. This is not always the case. Heart palps can very well be a symptom of low thyroid.
It would be great if you could get the tests done that I mentioned in my above post. Remar

They only tested TSH levels. I went to have them tested because i was having heart palpations and my heart rate was a little high for me. But as far as weight gain or weight loss i havent experienced either. And i really dont have any other symptoms of hypo or hyperthyroid. But thank you i will look into having those other tests done.

Can you remember what thyroid tests you had? Did they only check your TSH, or did they also check FT3, FT4 and antibodies? Those are the tests you need and it would also be a good idea to have an ultrasound done of your thyroid.
Are you having any other symptoms like tiredness, weight gain, any thing you can think of that's different?
See your Dr to be checked again for anything that might be going on. Also ask what thyroid tests they did and get a copy to post here if you would like.  Remar
